Dressmaker pigeon and Pigeon Adoption
Pigeon Adoption is a story commission from Dorothy, with a budget of 400. The messenger pigeon unlocks once Pigeon Adoption is over, whether the dress succeeds or fails. After that, clients you already know can send you extra commissions by pigeon.

In Pigeon Adoption, Dorothy comes to the shop with her pigeons, and one of them, Berty, is thinking of adopting you. She'd like a warm, eclectic dress for feeding the birds in the park. Her budget is 400.

How the pigeon works
2Pick a client
- The pigeon brings one commission per client, in a fixed order. It skips any client who already has a commission open.
- Pick a client from the pigeon's list, and they come to the front desk to tell you about the dress they'd like. Then you measure them, the same as for any commission.
3Sew the dress
- When you accept a commission, it gets a new page after your other open dresses and becomes your current dress. The dress you had open stays safe on its own page.
- You get a commission's budget when you deliver the dress, even if the dress fails. The exception is 18 story commissions, where a failed dress reopens the commission and you get another try.
- A commission that succeeds gives +1 friendship (one star) and +1 prestige. A failed one gives +0.25 friendship and +0.25 prestige.
Good to know
- Pigeon commissions don't expire. Once one is on offer, it stays there until you take it, so there's no rush.
- Worried the pigeon could lock you out of the story? An open pigeon commission doesn't hold up the story. The bell still brings your next story commission.
- Pigeon commissions are a bonus. To reach the final commission, you only need to complete the story commissions.
- After the credits, the game takes you back to the front desk, so you can keep sewing. Any pigeon commission you haven't taken yet is still waiting for you.
- Once you complete a commission, the game never offers it again.

Every pigeon commission
Each pigeon commission waits for one story commission. Once that story commission is over, whether the dress succeeds or fails, the pigeon can bring it. Here they all are, client by client, in the pigeon's own order:

A glazier has been rude to Prudence, and she is taking it very personally.
- Good Aunt waits for Artistic Retreat (story commission 27). It always comes after Not Haughty.
Prudence's niece is sick and requires cheering up.

Priya is going to track down her lost brother.

- Romance Reader waits for Goat Mediation (story commission 18).
Edith's favourite author is coming to Twillford, and hosting a dress-up competition.
- Graveside Visit waits for Floral Romance (story commission 24). It always comes after Romance Reader.
Edith visits her husband's grave in the evenings, but wishes she could stay warmer.

Edith's cat is scared of birds. Edith wants to acclimatise him to pigeons by dressing up as one.
